It was fortuitous that GSP’s Chief Executive Officer, Neil G. Laas, envisioned creating the platform even before the onset of Covid-19. Mr. Laas worked for the country’s biggest mall chain, and later became a successful entrepreneur with his own beauty and wellness brand, Bakku2Basik. In March 2020, he became even more certain of the direction he would like his concept to take. Having himself experienced the problems and frustrations besetting many online shoppers and merchants alike of other online platforms, he became ever more determined to create a digital mall that will address these issues. With this in mind, he partnered with GEP, a Singapore-based IT company, known for their prowess in building huge E-commerce sites, and the rest is history unfolding.
